Design of a machine to rectify ceramic tiles for laboratory tests

چکیده

Abstract The tile rectification process, also called squaring, consists of machining the edges to make them straight, parallel two by and perpendicular other in addition controlling size (calibrating). current industrial lines are based on multiple heads (abrasive wheels) where characterization process terms product quality power consumption is hard be conducted. In this work we present a laboratory machine equipped with single grinding wheel used for testing simulating working conditions conventional tile. specifications that required analysis different functional systems designed (clamping motion, cutting, cooling, structure/enclosure, electrical/control system) reported. This may lead researchers characterize propose actions improving efficiency sustainability process.
